Altrac trolleys are engineered with four load wheels to evenly distribute weight and minimise rolling resistance. This design allows loads to move smoothly and effortlessly—so the system does the work, not the operator.
A range of wheel configurations is available to manage accidental side and uplift loads that can occur in certain operations. Different wheel materials and designs also allow trolleys to be optimised for demanding environments, including industrial, marine, and dusty conditions.
Altrac trolleys can be tailored to suit the requirements of specific industries such as theatre, food production, and clean-room facilities, ensuring each system is configured for its intended application.
A motorised trolley carriage is available for applications where manual movement is not practical, such as non-trafficable or hazardous areas.
BENEFITS
- Easy maintenance: Trac trolleys run externally on the Altrac rail, making inspection and maintenance straightforward. Unlike enclosed track systems, there’s no need to remove trolleys for access.
- Free-running operation: With less than 0.5% rolling resistance, loads can be moved smoothly with minimal effort—requiring significantly less force than traditional beam or enclosed track systems.
- Add or remove trolleys anywhere: Trac trolleys can be added or removed at any point along the Altrac system without disturbing existing trolleys. This level of flexibility is not possible with enclosed track systems.
- Non-jamming design: The trolley design prevents twisting or slewing, ensuring smooth travel without binding or jamming.
- Tested and compliant: All rated trolleys comply with Australian Crane Code standards and are available in a range of configurations in accordance with AS1418 and AS1891.2 (Fall Arrest Systems).
